The King's Singers
At this year’s Advent Concert, the Iceland Symphony Orchestra invites renowned British ensemble The King’s Singers to share the stage for the first time. The King’s Singers have been active continuously since the group’s establishment in 1968, with new members joining the ranks as needed through the years. With their captivating stage presence and unforgettable arrangements, the Singers quickly became a fixture in the musical world, charming audiences all over the world on the stage and through best-selling albums.
On this programme, The King’s Singers perform popular arrangements from their Christmas albums, together with new arrangements for the ensemble alone and with orchestral accompaniment. Interspersed between these are festive Baroque works for orchestra, including movements from Händel’s Water Music and sumptuous arrangements of Bach chorales.
Further information on the concert can be found on the Iceland Symphony Orchestra website.
