The opera about Richard the Third is based on William Shakespeare's play of the same name. The work is almost two hours long, but today we get to hear and see the first four scenes from the first chapter. After the performance, the composer and team of the opera will discuss the process of composing and producing an opera shortly with the audience.
Richard, Duke of Gloucester intends to become king of England at any cost.
Reykjavik Opera Days' Festival Orchestra plays in the piece.
