"I go down to the shore to try and see her. I was told that if you see Undine on the shore she will make you more naive. I squint my eyes into the salty wind until I cannot hold them open any longer. I do not see her. Or Undine either.´

A mysterious woman waits and watches on a murky shore. She is alone, a social outcast. Her intricate tale is told with a fascinating mix of puppetry and traditional theatre by one of Icelands finest puppeteers.

Sæhjarta (Sea Heart) recreates and reawakens the folk-tales of the selki - seal women who come to shore and shed their skin to live and love among humans.

Created and produced by international multi-award winning theatre company Hanbendi Brúðuleikhús.

Shown in English on the 14th and 19th of February. Shown in Icelandic on the 27th of February.
