CREATIVITY, delicacy, care. Power, impunity, torture.

The United Nations defines torture as any act by which severe pain or suffering, whether physical or mental, is intentionally inflicted on a person for such purposes as obtaining from him, or a third person, information or a confession, punishing him or intimidating or coercing him, when such pain or suffering is inflicted by or with the consent of a public official or other person acting in an official capacity.

The laughing cow delves into the human capacity to torture, gathered and enhanced in positions of power and control, and contrasts it with the capacity to heal; the capacity to destroy versus the capacity to create.

The work suggests opposite worlds: abuse and death versus fragility and creativity.

COMPAÑÍA PATRICIA PARDO is led by the performer and director Patricia Pardo. The most common techniques used by the company are physical clown, live music, monologues, trapeze and acrobatics. The theatrical works of the company parodize human weaknesses and contradictions. Compañía Patricia Pardo has toured several cities and festivals in both America and Europe. In 2016 they performed their circus- and theatre show Ass Kombat in Tjarnarbíó.
