Enjoy the unique architecture of Harpa and visit areas that are generally not open to the public, as well as experiencing first-hand the amazing, award-winning acoustics of our performance halls.

Your guide will share some of Harpa’s secrets, stories of odd incidents and the struggles during the economic crisis. Learn how Icelandic nature, volcanoes and the Arctic light inspired the unique design and the amazing glass facade of the house – and photograph it from new intriguing angles; allowing you to explore the less visible brilliance of this world-renowned architectural masterpiece.

During the guided tour, Elsa Waage, an experienced Icelandic opera singer, will give you a live demonstration of the acoustics in one or more of our concert halls by performing traditional Icelandic songs.
