Event info

Experience the award-winning architecture of Harpa and visit areas that are generally not open to the public, along with a cherry on top – a musical performance in an exclusive area with breath-taking views of Harpa‘s surroundings.

As well as learning all about this amazing building during the guided tour, the musical performance provides you with an overview of Icelandic musical history, sampling different periods between medieval music and modern pop music.

About the performers

Ingibjörg Fríða Helgadóttir and Sigurður Ingi Einarsson work and perform in various concert settings in the Icelandic music scene. Ingibjörg Fríða is a singer, trained both classically and in jazz. She sings in jazzand pop bands, classical chamber choirs and performs her own music as well as new compositions by others. Sigurður Ingi is a trained percussionist and plays in different rock bands (VAR, Brött Brekka and Man Kind), in theatre and as a session player with other artists. He also releases music under his own name. Together they have performed as a duo for a few years, playing pop and folk music as well as teaching their own music workshops.
