Descend into the Inferno on July 4, 2019 with The Poetry Brothel Reykjavik. Enter into a curiosity cabinet of poetry, to art, to hope, to wine, or what you will.

Throughout the evening, our poets offer guests the opportunity to reconsider their origins, to reverberate with the celebratory song of the universe, the raw exclamations of the human soul. Artist Michelle Bird will draw your portrait in private, showing you what your soul looks like through the eye of the beholder.

We invite you to immerse yourselves in another world with a cast of poets who offer private poetry readings; a witch (Snæugla), who reads your fate in the cards; aerialists (Ungfrú Hringaná) and dancers (María Callísta) who will spin your sins in silk. Bibi Bioux will grace the event with song.
