Matti Kallio will both play the traditional accordion and use an electronic accordion to remote control the recently renovated church organ of Frikirkjan. This remote control performance will be a first of its kind in Iceland. The program includes his own compositions and traditional music in new arrangements.


Matti, who's been living in Iceland for a decade, is one of the most versatile Finnish musicians of his generation - as a multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, arranger and producer he has appeared on over a hundred albums throughout his career, winning numerous awards on the way. He has performed / worked with eg. Björk, Värttinä, National Symphony Orchestra of Iceland, Egill Ólafsson, Bubbi, National Theatre of Iceland, Finnish National Ballet and Todmobile.


In 2018, Matti published his debut solo album, 'Waltz for Better Times'.
