Dúplum dúó is inspired by modern day poetry and how the art song form is interpreted today. With only a voice and viola, their music is both raw and intimate. The music they perform is built on simple forms and dissonant harmonies in which the voice and viola are tightly intertwined.

Singer Björk Nielsdóttir and violist Þóra Margrét Sveinsdóttir join forces after having toured with the likes of Björk, Sigurrós, Florence and the Machine and Stargaze. They met during their studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and are currently working on their first CD.
