Even though Harlem, NY based psychadelic blues band Shepard the Breeze is only now releasing their debut full-length album, founding members and musical co-conspirators, Jay Shepard and Chris Barczynski, are most certainly no strangers to the music industry and the New York scene. Between the two of them, they have worked and recorded with an extensive laundry list of who’s who’s, rock n’ roll hall-of-famers, icons, and grammy winners. Their self-titled studio album is only rivaled by their live performance- where anyone within ear-shot is immediately transfixed either by Shepard’s soulful, incendiary, jaw-dropping guitar playing and presence… by Barczynski’s bluesy, soulful, heartfelt howls… or by their extremely catchy, well-crafted songs. Shepard the Breeze covers a lot of sonic ground. Their songs are right at home on classic and modern rock radio, in a roadside honky tonk, or on a big festival stage.
