The trio inspiration comes from the French-Belgian gypsy guitarist Django Reinhardt. In the early 20th century Reinhardt laid the foundation to a form of jazz guitar style which today bears his name and is still in constant evolution. The band has also been trying out new jazz standards in this style with good results. In January 2018 GHT performed at Django Amsterdam at Bimhuis and got a standing ovation.
