Vocalist Katrín Halldóra Sigurðardóttir and the Arctic Swing Quintet will serve up some swinging stuff on this midday concert. Arctic Swing Quintet is a beautifully balanced swing-band with some of Iceland's most experienced jazz-cats. Its repertoire is composed of songs from the golden age of jazz from 1927 to 1945 with special emphasis on swing, lyrical solos and general briskness. Katrín Halldóra was a sensational hit in her role as vocal star Ellý Vilhjálms in a play about her life at the City Theater and was chosen vocalist of the year at the Theater Awards.
