Natives of Poland, Marcin Wasilewski trio has been together for over 20 years or since they were teenagers. Legendary trumpetist Tomasz Stanko saw their potential and took them under his wing. Their work with Stanko as well as various recordings for ECM has made them one of the more intriguing trios on the European scene in recent years.

Their playing is soft and delicate and one can truly say that the trio performs as one in their arrangements of tunes by artists such as Björk, Prince and Police as well as their own compositions. The trio celebrates the release of a brand new album “live” on ECM in September.
