In just two short years, what was intended to be a one-off charity event by a collective of pro musicians & artists in Los Angeles in order to literally celebrate David Bowie shortly after he passed has turned into a critically acclaimed worldwide touring show. CdB has performed in ten countries on four continents with an ever-rotating cast of renowned singers and top touring/recording musicians who have performed with Beck, Chick Corea, Tom Waits, Herbie Hancock, Air, Jeff Beck, Brian Eno, Michael Jackson, Elvis Costello, Miles Davis, Nine Iinch Nails, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Lana Del Rey, Dr. Dre, Burt Bacharach, David Byrne, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Who.
Previous special guests on CdB shows have included: Sting, Gary Oldman, Seal, Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Kate Pierson (B-52’s), Ewan McGregor, Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran), Gavin Rossdale (Bush), La Roux, Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Ian Astbury (The Cult), Darren Criss, Tony Hadley (Spandau Ballet), Living Colour, The London Community Gospel Choir, The Harlem Gospel Choir, and various Bowie bandmates dating back from ’73 with the Spider From Mars band all the way up to Blackstar.
Celebrating David is thrilled to perform in Eldborg Hall at Harpa this fall with iconic artist/superstar producer Todd Rundgren, Bowie bandleader/guitarist Adrian Belew, Fishbone’s Angelo Moore, and Australian singer Paul Dempsey within our all-star band. CdB is also very excited to appear with SinfoniaNord for the first time performing songs from Bowie's entire catalogue from his first hit, Space Oddity, to his last hit album, Blackstar.
