The Research Centre for Language and Literacy development, at the University of Iceland is organizing a one-day conference on August 16th to celebrate professor Hrafnhildur Ragnarsdóttir´s retirement this year. The theme of the conference is

Building bridges and boosting literacy from preschool to adolescence:Oral language – listening comprension – reading comprehension – writing

 

The keynote speakers are Catherine Snow, Harvard University, Vibeke Gröver, Oslo University and Francisco Pons, Oslo University. Please see the full list of invited speakers and the details of the program HERE.

 

The conference is open to anyone interested. Please distribute this announcement to researchers and teachers who might be interested and feel free to let us know (via e-mail to jeinars@hi.is) if you you would like to make a poster presentation of research relevant to the theme of the conference.
