From the Little Books to the Little Talks

Writer and social commentator Alda Sigmundsdóttir, author of the much-loved Little Books about Iceland series, is renowned for her keen and witty observations about Iceland and the Icelanders. She now presents her sharp, humorous insights into Icelandic life, culture and history in a series of lively talks, running in July and August 2018. Join Alda in the lovely upstairs room of the Sólon Bistro Bar in downtown Reykjavík, for an evening of illumination, conversation and good cheer.

Born in Iceland and raised in Canada, Alda Sigmundsdóttir returned to Iceland as an adult and has since become one of her country’s most astute commentators on Icelandic affairs. The author of eight books about Iceland, she has written extensively for the international media and given talks on the subject of Iceland worldwide. During her Little Talks she is happy to answer audience questions, making the event less presentation - more conversation. Little Talks - Iceland Demystified is a must-attend event for anyone interested in Icelandic history and contemporary culture.
