“I attended a lovely concert of the piano and string version of Beethoven’s Op. 16 chamber work while visiting Reykjavík recently. Entering the visually arresting Harpa Arts Center with its remarkable glass exterior shell set the scene for a memorable event… Despite visiting during the summer months, when the orchestra season is over, it was a delight to find a classical concert of such quality with professionals from among the ranks of the Iceland Symphony. The performance was energetic and assured with many delights, especially in the lyrical slow movement. I recommend anyone who loves great music to add this to their list of satisfying things to do around Reykjavík, for the inspiration of the music and the architecture. It was a highlight of our visit to Iceland which left a very favorable impression of the country!” – Roderick Phipps-Kettlewell, Minnesota USA via TripAdvisor
“I thoroughly enjoyed a top notch 30 minutet lunchtime concert “Sound the Trumpets” in the Reykjavik Classics series. Great programme including well known classics by Bach and Handel as well as an Icelandic chant and an Icelandic folk song. Meeting the performers and the Artistic Director afterwards made it all the more special. Highly recommended!” – Carmelita, Bologna, Italy via TripAdvisor
"Thoughly enjoyed today's guitar solo concert by Svanur Vilbergsson. Great way to see this amazing hall on a rainy afternoon in Reykjavik.” - Joan Wilson, Toronto, Canada via Facebook (5.0*)
