A Pop-opera about deflation
Vacuum means void or deflation and is often connected with vacuum packaging or vacuum cleaners. Vacuum is also a term in physics meaning space in which there is no matter or in which the pressure is so low that particles in the space do not affect any processes being carried on. With other words; zero air pressure. In this void called Vacuum, five singers and dancers stand on stage looking for a way out. Dissymmetrical patterns create something out of nothing, chaos out of order, sounds out of silence. Choreographer Melkorka Sigríður Magnúsdóttir has in her past works looked for new ways in combining these two mediums; music and dance.
