A new generation of musicians from Scandinavia has come together into this unique and exciting combination of players, consisting of two violins and piano.

In this formation you will be able to hear a fantastic and diverse program consisting of exotic pieces composed by some of the greatest composers from Germany, Russia, Spain and Norway. This journey from one country to the other will as well be a way to get deeper into the background of this young players, having roots in those countries.

Trio Norden consist of the violinists Páll Palomares and Vera Panitch, new 2nd violin principals of Iceland Symphony Orchestra, and pianist Mathias Susaas Halvorsen. Páll Palomares is Icelandic and a renowned violinists of his generation, price winner in several competitions in Iceland and as well as abroad. He has performed as soloist with numerous orchestras in Europe. Vera Panitch is born Denmark but of Russian/Ukrainian descent, and is one of the leading young violinists there. She has got prices in many different competitions and has recently completed Soloist diploma from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. Mathias is one of the finest young pianists in Norway and has established a career as soloist and chamber musician in Scandinavia and Germany.
