A darkly comic crime mystery set in small-town Estonia. Elsa is the mother and full time caretaker of Lauri, a teacher who has been in a coma since being shot under mysterious circumstances. Lauri receives various visitors, friends, students, his girlfriend, his boss and many others – all of whom come to update the unconscious Lauri on their lives and unburden themselves of their trouble. The circumstances behind the shooting then slowly start coming to light through the confessionals of those visitors.

This was Estonia‘s entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards this year. The film won the Best Estonian Film award at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival last year.
