An experimental biopic where an inspector hunts down Nobel Prize-winning Chilean poet, Pablo Neruda, who becomes a fugitive in his home country in the late 1940s after criticizing the President for his brutal anti-communist repression.

The film was nominated as the Best Foreign Language film at this year’s Golden Globes and Chile submitted the film for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscars. It was the fourth time in nine years that a film by Larraín was submitted.
