We‘re stationed on a small border post on the Yugoslav-Albanian border in the spring of 1987. Lieutenant Pasic is frustrated and constantly drunk – and he also feels a strange pain in his groins. The only doctor in the camp diagnoses him with syphilis and tells him treatment will take three weeks. But Pasic is supposed to go home on vocation and that means his wife will find out about his infidelity. To avoid that he declares a state of emergency, claiming that the Albanian army is preparing an attack against Yugoslavia. A joke transforms into full-on war hysteria and the situation quickly runs out of control.
