Shasta Ellenbogen and Yngvild Haaland Rud will each perform a solo piece for viola and accordion in addition to a premiering a new piece by Bergrún Snaebjörnsdóttir which was specifically composed for them to perform at Dark Music Days this year. Shasta has won multiple awards in Canada, Germany and the Netherlands and Yngvild has also received numerous awards, most recently she won 3rd price at the international “Arrasate Hiria” competition for soloists in Spain 2012.
