Voices of the Summer Sun
Classical Concert

Enjoy a classical concert about the sun, love and the sea. You will listen to classical gems as
well as beautiful Icelandic songs that will give you a flavour of Icelandic life and culture.

You may also know some of the songs, arias and duets from other countries. The program
includes the Flower Duet from Lakmé, catchy songs by Jón Múla, Fauré, Reynaldo Hahn,
Édith Piaf, Kurt Weill and Páll Ísólfsson. There will also be a performance of "Ó, blessuð
vertu sumarsól" or "Oh bless you summer sun" – a song dear to many Icelanders. The artists will lead the audience through the program with short introductions.

The concert is about an hour long.
