Sigrún Magna Þórsteinsdóttir studied music at the Akureyri and Reykjavík Schools of Music, the Icelandic National School of Church Music and at the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark. There she gained her Masters Degree under the tutelage and guidance of Professor Bine Bryndorf. Areas of special interest within the course included: directing children's choirs, the musical development in children and working with musically gifted children.

Sigrún has directed both mixed adult voice and children's choirs in Reykjavík, Copenhagen and Akureyri. She is currently organist at Akureyri Church, Iceland and at Möðruvallaklaustur Church. She also teaches at the Akureyri Music School. She has held many concerts as solo organist, accompanist and choir director in Iceland and abroad. She has attended many courses and masterclasses given by eminent musicians, including Olivier Latry, Hans-Ola Ericsson, Michael Radulescu and Mattias Wager.

Steinunn Arnbjörg Stefánsdóttir studied music and cello at the Conservatory of Music in Akureyri and Reykjavík and completed her soloist degree in the spring of 2000. She continued her studies in France, specialized in baroque music and graduated from the Paris Conservatory as a baroque cellist in the spring of 2006.
Steinunn has since played with many major baroque groups in France: Les Basses Réunies, La Maîtrise du Center de Musique Baroque de Versailles, Ricercar Ensemble, Les Folies Françoises... and in Iceland: Nordic Affect, Barokkbandið Brák and the International Baroque Orchestra in Hallgrímskirkja.
