Edda Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir

Coral Living– a bus trip
October 15. Departure from Sundhöllin.
Duration: 5 hours.

What does a seed think as it reaches one arm towards the centre of the earth and another
towards the sun and sky? Best case scenario it concentrates its energy on balance between
those ups and downs to grow strong and well. A little piece of magic. Which can also go all
wrong.

An expedition, a volcano in stereo and a wish beamed through an antenna aimed towards the
sky. Elastic hours in time and space to find balance for a split second. A collection of colourful
sweet moments, chilly sours, slight bitters, salty tingles and deep jungle umami. It might all go
wrong. But at least we'll have each other.

Edda Kristín Sigurjónsdóttir (1978) lives and works in Reykjavik. Her work, or life as those are
intertwined, is centered around slowly finding a way home to the heart – embracing what there
is right here. She is enamored by the living world of plants and food as material and is a firm
believer in the power of the wish, elements that are woven into her varied projects.

Dress according to weather. Light provisions will be provided.

The tour will go east and first stop will be at the work Trail, of Þorgerður Ólafsdóttir in Kambar
