Initiated in 2014, Young Boy Dancing Group began as a nameless performance collective,
a versatile host embracing an ever-changing network of dancers. Young Boy Dancing

Group has worked in video, photography, fashion, sculpture, and installation but the
group remains best known for raw and intimate performances in which the materiality of
bodies encounters the ethereality of light.
The performance for Sequences XI is a finnisage to the 10-day festival period, turning the
large courtyard of the Reykjavik Art Museum into a wrecked landscape where the
remains of bodies test the limits of the human form.
Sequences 11th edition will take place 13 – 22 October in Reykjavik, Iceland. Titled Can’t
See, the Biennial will bring visitors together at the darkest time of the year, for an
exchange of ideas and to provide a glimpse into the spaces that cannot usually be
perceived by the human eye. Sequences XI will feature a central exhibition, displayed
across four local institutions (Nordic House, The Living Art Museum, National Gallery,
Kling & Bang) with a wider programme of performances, workshops, concerts and more.
