Social Change: A new way of thinking about mental health
Spanning two days of workshops and presentations, we invite attendees to explore alternative understandings outside and inside the dominant, psychiatric perspective.
In our communities, people are seeking
meaningful connections and relationships which they do not find help with
within our current systems and services. During these innovative two days
of presentations, dialogue and interactive workshops led by people with a lived
experience of emotional distress or addictions, we will invite conversations on
what we can do differently that might lead to social and systemic change.
We welcome attendees from all countries and cultures to join us in Reykjavik,
Iceland for this two-day event where we hope to share ideas and perspectives
but also to take action on what we can do collectively to bring about change.
These events are coordinated thanks to a collaboration between Geðhjálp (Iceland), Bevisst Likepersonsarbeid (Norway)and Intentional Peer Support (International)
