The 13th anniversary of the Icelandic experimental music festival Extreme Chill will be held October 6th – October 9th in Reykjavík.

This year, the Extreme Chill festival will be taking place in Tjarnarbíó, Húrra, Fríkirkjan í Reykjavik, Sirkus, Space Odyssey, Mál og Menning, Miðgarður (centerhotel) etc. There, guests will revel in the craft of such experimental, electronica and classical artists as: Fennesz, KMRU, Klara Lewis, Maria W Horn, Eraldo Bernocchi, Petulia Mattioli, Christopher Chaplin, Kira Kira, Úlfur, Stereo Hypnosis, Rúnar Magnússon, Sóley: Harmónik, Okuma, Aristokrasía (Úlfur Eldjárn), Yagya, Mixmaster Morris, and many more!

The fundamental aim of the festival is to create connections between Icelandic and foreign musicians, conjoining different art forms-from electronic music to visual arts- and to draw attention to electronic Reykjavik, the Electronic Music Capital of Iceland.

Tickets to the festival cost a meager 11.900 ISK. A four-day music festival where local and foreign musicians of all ages and diverse backgrounds come together to create music under the inspiration of Icelandic nature. Extreme Chill will be a mystifying journey around electric Reykjavík.
