Ásgeir will celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release of his debut album Dýrð í dauðaþögn with a concert in Eldborg on the 27th of August.

Ásgeir will perform in one of Reykjavík’s most beautiful concert hall accompanied by a big band and strings. They will perform the now legendary album in its entirety and in Icelandic in addition to premiering brand new material.

Ten years have passed since Ásgeir Trausti memorably released his first songs in the spring of 2012 when he quickly became the most popular musician in the country. His album Dýrð í daudaþögn was released the same year and broke all Icelandic sales records.

The album sold over 40,000 copies and spent a total of 400 weeks on the Icelandic charts. Ásgeir was only twenty years old at the time of the release and yet he established himself as a top selling artist. The album to this day is one of the 5 best-selling albums in Icelandic history.
