Disa runs a restaurant. The restaurant is always open but every table is always taken by Him. A war going on. No one remembers why or when it started but it has been going on for a long time. Only two things are certain. The Magician must be forced to tell the truth and the Child found, or else the world is doomed. The Ringmaster keeps the guests entertained with his weird Cabarett and mystical creatures live in the basement. Could it be that they know where the Child is hiding? Does the Child want to be found?

Disa:
He!! He is a great Magician. He didn‘t used to be a Magician, but he said that after He had me He became a Magician. He has a Magic wand. Magic hat. Everything about him is magical. He is making sure that I wont rembember what I‘ve forgot. He says that he is going to tell me later. When I have closed down the restaurant. But I have no interest in closing the restaurant. This is my place, my restaurant and people come here to talk about god. Or they used to, yes, people used to flock in to talk about god. But then He came and it just became so hard to get a table. I‘m in trouble. I used to love to talk to all the guests about god. Now I only speak to god in silence. Before I used to talk to him out loud when I was putting on the tablecloths or cleaning the tables. Somtimes I said GOD. GOD, I asked. Is this a Circus or a restaurant? Is this the garden of Eden or a dump? Are we maybe all in the same room? And then certainly, God would open up a window.

The Bloody Rabbit is a surreal comedy about traumas and PTSD. The author, Elisabet Jökulsdóttir, is known for speaking out loud and in total honesty about her own struggle with her traumas and mental illnesses. This play an attempt by her to understand her own struggles. Elísabet is known for her brilliant ability to play with words, her surreal sense of humor and brutal honesty.

To talk about mental health is, as always, vital. This play is urgent.
