Karlakór Reykjavíkur (The Reykjavik Male Choir) will hold its annual advent concerts in Hallgrímskirkja, one of Reykjavik´s most picturesque landmarks, as follows: 

Saturday, December 11th at 17

Sunday, December 12th at 17 and 20. 

A very special guest for these concerts is Jóna G. Kolbrúnardottir, soprano. This young and elegant artist graduated with a master’s degree from The Royal Opera Academy in Copenhagen last summer. She has performed with The Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and sung some opera roles, such as Papagena in Mozart’s Magic flute at The Royal Opera in Copenhagen. 

The choir will also enjoy the company of regular guests from previous years. Lenka Mátéová will play the great Klais organ, a masterpiece with more than five thousand pipes. The trumpet players Eiríkur Örn Pálsson and Guðmundur Hafsteinsson will perform at the concerts as well as the percussionist Eggert Pálsson on kettledrums. 

The conductor is Fridrik S. Kristinsson, who has been conducting the choir for over thirty years,
