The Seigla music festival was created by the Icelandic Schumann Society and founded by Erna Vala Arnardóttir. This year, we focus on the bright and positive. The programming was made with the idea in mind to remind us to slow down, enjoy and appreciate. Seigla is made possible by 23 outstanding artists performing seven recitals during winter 2021-2022 in Harpa and Sigurjón Ólafsson Museum.

Clara and Robert Schumann’s incredible presence and resilience is what ignited this festival’s birth. They were remarkable in how much art and life they sustained throughout their careers. They supported a community of art and artists. They made music for music’s sake.
