The Iceland Symphony’s annual Advent Concert has a focus on festive music from the Baroque era. This year, the husband-and-wife team of Páll Palomares and Vera Panitch, both members of the Iceland Symphony violin section, perform Vivaldi’s exuberant Concerto for two violins, and ISO double bassist Jacek Karwan is soloist in a true rarity, the Italian Romantic Giovanni Bottesini’s concerto in B minor. A more detailed programme will be announced later.
