A psychologist is sent to a station orbiting a distant planet in order to discover what has caused the crew to go insane.

Solaris is based on Stanislaw Lem’s novel of the same name published in 1961. The film was co-written and directed by Andrei Tarkovsky who is honoured this winter by Black Sundays.
