Liza is a nurse, seeking love in 1970s Csudapest, a fictionalized capital of a 1970s Hungary that fell prey to capitalism rather than communism. She works as a nurse for the widow of the Japanese ambassador, but her only friend is a long-dead Japanese pop star only she can see. That wouldn‘t necessarily be a problem – until he gets jealous and turns her into a fox-fairy. Fox-fairies are cursed beings and every man who will desire Liza will die a horrible death. But is there any way to overcome this curse?
Károly Ujj Mészáros has directed numerous shorts and advertisements who all show off his offbeat humour. This is his first feature film.
